When a session starts, apps and websites will be allowed or blocked according to your selected [[Creating Presets|preset]], helping you stay focused by minimizing distractions.
A **countdown timer** will appear in your menu bar, giving you a quick view of your remaining time and keeping your session on track.

If you’d like a more detailed visual monitor—including active, idle, and total time—you can enable the [[Floating Timer]] for a fuller picture of your progress at a glance.
A session will end once the timer runs for the duration you selected. If you’re using the Engagement Timer, the timer will automatically pause when no activity is detected and resume when you become active again.

### All Active and Incomplete Sessions End Automatically at Midnight.
All unfinished sessions cancel automatically at **midnight,** giving you a clean slate each day. This daily reset encourages fresh momentum and helps you stay focused without dragging yesterday’s tasks into today.

### Apps in Fullscreen Mode
If you’re using multiple displays and an app is in full-screen mode, it may not immediately hide when a session starts. However, the app will still be blocked, and you won’t be able to interact with it.
To resolve this, exit full-screen mode and try interacting with the app, and Creative Command will then hide it as expected.
